I received my Bachelor of Music Education from Drake University and my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa in Aging and Longevity Studies. My areas of expertise include LGBTQ experiences, personal and family aging-related issues, and teacher burnout. I work with young, middle, and older adults to build their strengths, speak their needs, and set boundaries. I believe boundaries are the best form of self-care. When I am not at work, I make time to read for pleasure and swim for exercise.
