About
Meaningful change begins with understanding ourselves; the limitations we perceive, the roles we play, the stories we tell ourselves and the uncertainty we are confronted with. In a world that fixates on how to become what others expect/want, we often lose who we are in the process. My goal is to help clients find peace in who they are and the challenges they’ve faced. More than that, I want them to see the other side of their struggles; to move past what’s holding them back and to build a life they want. We may even have a laugh along the way because what fun is the journey without a little banter! We all get a little turned around now and then, no shame in asking for directions. Also, as a student I can provide services at a discount.
I am currently pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University, where I am developing the knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals through struggles or transitions that they encounter.
My counseling approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic principles. While I draw from evidence-based practices, I still anchor to the counseling relationship as the foundation for growth and healing. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, reflecting on past experiences, or seeking greater clarity and direction, I would be honored to support you in creating a life that feels more balanced and fulfilling.
